Holden meets up with Sally and they go to the movies. On the way there, they make out. After the movie, they go skating and then they decide to get a couple drinks. Holden starts to freak out and he is yelling at Sally. He says that he just wants her to go far away with him and they can start a new life together. She says no. She doesn't want to.
I think that it's good that he wants Sally to be with him, but running away and trying to start a new life together isn't the right thing to do. You don't forget the past and then sometimes the past can catch up with you.
