In this chapter, Holden is way mad at Strandlater because he tells Holden that they stayed in the car the whole time because they didn't go to New York. Strandlater punches Holden and then pins him to the ground. Holden keeps talking and then gets hit one more time.
Obviously Holden has feelings for Jane and I think that Strandlater just needs to realize that.
